“I have great appreciation for Dr. Schuetz’ skill and his concern for my comfort and well being.”
After relocating to Vermont from Australia two years ago, I was looking for a reputable dentist in the Upper Valley area. Dr. Schuetz was recommended to me by my husband, for whom Dr. Schuetz installed a new porcelain tooth for his titanium implant.
My husband was extremely impressed by Dr. Schuetz’s attention to detail, and the both of us have no hesitation putting our dental care in the hands of Dr. Schuetz.
As a patient myself, I have great appreciation for Dr. Schuetz’ skill and concern for my comfort and well being during my recent six porcelain crown procedures.
In addition, his staff are always great to deal with, making Dr. Schuetz and his team a pleasant dental practice to visit.

“Dr. Schuetz is very gentle and accommodating. He really cares about his patients.”
Dr. Schuetz was recommended to me by my previous dentist.
I don’t do well in the dental chair, but Dr. Schuetz is very gentle and accommodating. He is a very mice person and he really cares about his patients.
Even when I come in to get my teeth cleaned, he’ll come in and make sure everything is ok with me.

“His work is performed to the highest professional standards of quality and he is deeply concerned with the comfort and the satisfaction of his patients.”
I have been a patient of Dr. Schuetz for 25 years. He was in general practice at the time of our first meeting and he had a good reputation locally as a general practitioner. I was having significant oral and dental issues at that time in my life and after a few years of care I was thoughtfully referred to a periodontist. My periodontal issues eventually led to the loss of teeth and I went back to Dr. Schuetz for bridge work and dentures, which I’ve now had for 15 years.
Dr. Schuetz is personally invested in his work. He honestly enjoys what he does. His work pleases him. As a result, his work is performed to the highest professional standards of quality and he is deeply concerned with the comfort and the satisfaction of his patients.
Without exception I have consistently referred my friends and acquaintances (my family lives out the area) to Dr. Schuetz based on my own experiences of his personable and professional care.

“The work that he has done for me is remarkable.”
As an older patient, I believe the kind of dental care that I have received from Dr. Schuetz has been quite complicated. The work that he has done for me is remarkable. I end up just as though nothing had happened. His skill is very impressive.
We also have become good friends. We have a lot of interests in common. My appointments are a pleasure and I look forward to them.

“Dr Schuetz is #1 in my book!”
I had never heard of or met Dr. Schuetz before I went to him on March 15, 2010. That is how long I have been his patient. I was recommended by my dentist, who had taken over my former dentist's practice, who had originally done my lower denture in August of 2009 and retired in October 2009. He thought I should see about implants as I was having a rough time.
They made an appointment with Dr. Schuetz and lo and behold I was in for a big surprise. First of all my top denture was worn right down and should have been replaced and my new lower denture was not right. I needed a new set of upper and lower dentures, which I now have thanks to Dr. Schuetz. He has done a great job and I am very happy with my new teeth and have had many comments on how natural they look.
I am very glad to have been referred to him and I cannot say enough about him and his work. From the very first time that I walked into his office and met him and his staff I felt very much at ease. Dr. Schuetz is very forthright and very conscientious about his work and my comfort.
As for his staff, Jackie and Julie, they are great. Very considerate and knowledgeable. Always brought coffee to my husband in the waiting room. They are always very friendly and answer any questions I have.
I most certainly would, and have, recommended Dr. Schuetz to friends and family.
As I said earlier I am very very happy with the outcome and so is my husband. Dr. Schuetz is great! #1 in my book.

“Dr. Schuetz is everything that someone would want as their personal dentist.”
Dr. Schuetz has been a phenomenal prosthondontist and has lived up to his mission: “Improving lives and increasing smiles.”
He was my nearby neighbor in Woodstock for many years and was very well respected by the community. He later moved to Wilder and I have continued to be his patient.
My wife Janet and I have been faithful patients for approximately the past 10 years. Dr. Schuetz did extensive work on crowning Janet’s teeth which she truly appreciated and which made it possible for her to smile with ease. In my case, Dr. Schuetz has done bridge work and has matched the teeth perfectly in color and shape.
His consultations have always been held in a private office where he explained in detail the procedures and costs related to the work he would perform. He has the most updated cameras and audio-visual equipment so that you can see small details and compare the present and future appearance of the entire mouth.
Another great attribute of the doctor is his pleasant and outgoing personality. He always has a smile and greets you in a friendly manner. You become not only his patient but a personal friend.
I am sure that Dr. Schuetz’s staff respect him and like to work with him because they greet you with a smile and make you feel comfortable during procedures. The whole office reflects a level of professionalism and friendliness that is not often seen.
In summary, Dr. Schuetz is everything that someone would want as their personal dentist.

“My family is now on a program of returning to proper dental health and care without fear and anxiety.”
All of my life I have been petrified of going to the dentist. However, due to bone loss and ill fitting dentures I had no choice.
I am 71 years of age and I have had a full set of dentures for over 50 years.
I always had to use denture adhesive, and my food never had the flavor it should have had. My smile was always something I was not happy with.
My dentist in Concord, Massachusetts highly recommended Dr. Schuetz for dental implants.
Dr. Schuetz gave me confidence to complete this extensive procedure because of his knowledge, his positive attitude and, very important to me, no pain.
His staff are professional, kind and considerate. They made me feel confident in their knowledge and ability.
My confidence in Dr. Schuetz is so strong that I recommended my husband and son go to him for dental implants and they are very happy they did.
My family is now on a program of returning to proper dental health and care without fear and anxiety.

“Dr. Schuetz may have thought he was only restoring my smile, but he ended up restoring my self-confidence at the same time.”
I have worked in the customer service industry for over twenty years. My smile is one of my greatest assets. At the age of seventeen I was diagnosed with MS and have been on different medications for years.
I had a great deal of bone loss in both my upper and lower jaw due to this condition. I had a full upper plate when I was 30 and full lower at 35. My dentist in Florida told me that due to the bone loss I would need new plates every few years (and they would never fit without paste).
Then my mother told me about Dr. Schuetz! I had my first appointment with him a month later and he was confident that he would be able to help me. That was over a year ago and I am almost done. The time has gone quickly. With Dr. Schuetz and his team of professionals I would even say it was enjoyable. The level of respect and concern they all show is very comforting.
Dr. Schuetz may have thought he was only restoring my smile, but he ended up restoring my self-confidence at the same time.

“I feel very safe and secure knowing I will be provided with the necessary information and consultation needed to make appropriate decisions for dental health.”
I am pleased to have an opportunity to speak of my experience receiving dental care from Dr. Schuetz and his staff.
When I moved to the Upper Valley seven years ago, I noticed his ad in the local paper. At the time I was wearing a temporary bridge that Dr. Schuetz repaired for me on an emergency basis. I was extremely pleased that he took care of my predicament straightaway.
Since that time Dr. Schuetz has provided all of my regular care as well as two new bridges (one upper and one lower).
I feel very safe and secure knowing I will be provided with the necessary information and consultation needed to make appropriate decisions for dental health. I have recommended Dr. Schuetz to others without reservation.

“After reading this, you should certainly understand why I can fully recommend
Dr. Schuetz.”
Dr. Schuetz was recommended to me approximately 35 years ago by an oral surgeon in New Hampshire, saying he was the best for making dentures. He was right.
Over the years I have had upper and lower partial dentures. Dr. Schuetz also recommended having my six lower front teeth capped. I am pleased to say I took his advice and I never regretted it.
Over time I have never had problems with my dentures from Dr. Schuetz, such as sore spots. I hear so many people do, and that they are never satisfied with their dentures, even to the point that they leave them out. I don’t have that problem, and let’s not forget that my front teeth were capped some years – and they still look GREAT!
A short time ago my husband who is 81 years old had his remaining 11 teeth extracted. Within 6 weeks Dr. Schuetz had made full upper and lower dentures and my husband is doing remarkably well – much better than I had expected.
After reading this, you should certainly understand why I can fully recommend Dr. Schuetz. And last, but by no means least, he has a wonderful staff, making it a pleasure to keep appointments.

“If you need a great dentist who is very caring and has a great staff, I would highly recommend Dr. Schuetz.”
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Schuetz for approximately two years.
My first procedure involved a broken front tooth which he repaired. The color perfectly matches my other teeth – you can’t tell the difference.
Recently he fixed a large cavity that required a lot of work. I’m not a very good dental patient, however, Dr. Schuetz was patient, understanding and reassuring. He took his time to make sure I was comfortable during the procedure.
Dr. Schuetz called me three times during the week to make sure I was ok.
Dr. Schuetz has a wonderful staff who work well with him. If you need a great dentist who is very caring and has a great staff, I would highly recommend Dr. Schuetz.

Peer Recommendation
Dr. Thomas Hildebrand, Oral Surgeon
I have had the good fortune over the last twenty years or so to associate with prosthodontist, Dr. George Schuetz on both a professional and personal basis.
I have found Dr. Schuetz to be a keen diagnostician with a good sense of the dynamics involved in prosthetically driven implant teeth rehabilitation. His skill as a dentist has made my practice of oral surgery and implant surgery much more focused and effecient, and for this I thank him.

Crowns
Case History - All Ceramic Crowns
Before
After
We first met this 18 year old patient on March 27, 2000. At that time orthodontic treatment was still in progress. On August 5, 2003 orthodontics was finished. At that time we made diagnostic models and did a diagnostic wax-up to see what we would be able to achieve with all-ceramic crowns. On June 28, 2004 we prepared the upper teeth for all-ceramic crowns and on July 19, 2004 the new all-ceramic crowns were finished providing a dramatic, natural and esthetic result.
Case History - Emergency Tooth Repair
Before
After
This 21-year old female patient was a student at Dartmouth College. Her two front teeth were broken in an accident and we first saw her on an emergency basis the day the accident took place. Her broken teeth were “gone” six days later, with perfectly-colored temporary crowns. The all-ceramic permanent replacements were put in two weeks later, completely restoring the function and beauty of her natural smile.

Full-Mouth Rehabilitation - Case History #1
Before
After
This 52 year-old patient had his first appointment on December 7, 1999. He had a grinding (bruxing) problem which had caused him to literally chew off 2/3rds the length of both his upper and lower teeth. This made his bite collapse and caused his jaw to over-close. The over-closing caused him to pinch a nerve in his temporomandibular joint, which, in his own words, felt like someone took a sword and stuck it into his TMJ and twisted it. The pain brought him to his knees with tears in his eyes. Treatment called for the restoration of his lost tooth structure with crowns on every tooth. The result is phenomenal from an esthetic and functional standpoint, but the best result was a comment that he made in a letter that he sent to me a few weeks after treatment was completed in which he said:
"My teeth are absolutely fantastic!!! Better than I imagined they could ever be again.
"Remember at my first appointment I told you that after 30 years of grinding down my teeth, all I was concerned about was getting rid of the excruciating pain in my jaw. I said that at my age, I really wasn't too worried about how they looked--just make the pain go away.
"Well, now that we're done, guess what. Not only am I thrilled that the pain has disappeared entirely, but I am also delighted with how nice my teeth look. My wife and daughter tell me that they're beautiful. Friends and co-workers have said the same. I couldn't be happier.
"Thanks again for a real first class job."

After Treatment
"I was referred to Dr. Schuetz by a general dentist who was concerned about the wear on my molars, which had eroded so badly that I needed a full bite reconstruction.
"I was nervous about the procedure and worried that I wouldn't find someone I trusted to do the work. During our initial consultations, Dr. Schuetz spent a lot of time answering my questions, explaining the various steps of the procedure, and showing me models and photographs of other reconstructive work he had done. It was clear to me that he was a skilled and experienced professional who had many years of practice with situations like mine and worse.
"The reconstruction process was a lengthy ordeal, and my confidence in Dr. Schuetz and his expert and caring staff is what got me through it. Everyone was so calm, focused and knowledgeable that I never had a doubt I was in good hands.
"Dr. Schuetz combines a thoroughness and attention to detail with a sense of humor and a big heart. Now I have a set of beautiful---not fake-looking---teeth that work great. My bite feels comfortable and completely natural. Whenever another dentist or hygienist sees my crowns, they always marvel at how well done the work is and ask me who did it. I am always happy and proud to say 'George Schuetz of Wilder, Vermont.'"
Bridges
Bridges Case History #1

This 43 year-old patient was seen on November 1, 2007 with one missing upper front tooth and the other upper front teeth abnormally and unnaturally situated behind the lower front teeth. Her treatment plan called for the removal of the right and left incisor teeth and the creation of a 6-tooth non-removable bridge. The Bridge replaced the tooth that was already missing and the incisors that were removed to put all her upper front teeth into a natural relationship with her lower teeth. The bridge was completed on December 12, 2007 creating a normal and esthetically pleasing look.
Bridges Case History #2

This 17 year-old patient was seen on December 13, 2004 with missing upper right and left incisor teeth. The patient was also missing all of his lower incisor teeth. Upper bridge treatment started on March 29, 2005. On May 17, 2005 a non-removable ceramometal (porcelain fused to metal) bridge was fabricated which replaced his missing upper teeth. On July 17, 2006 the lower bridge was started and on August 3, 2006 the lower-removable ceramometal bridge was finished.
Implants
Case History - Single Implant
Before
After
This 17 year old patient was born with a congenitally missing upper left incisor. This condition is a rather common occurrence. In days gone by the next tooth would be moved into the position of the missing tooth and all of the other upper left teeth would be moved forward. This treatment choice is not recommended. In this case a titanium dental implant was placed on June 30, 2005. The impression for the implant crown was made on September 6, 2005, and the permanent crown was finished and put in place on September 29, 2005.
Case History - Single Immediate Implant
Before
After
This 69 year-old patient returned from a vacation trip with his upper right front tooth in his hand. He had bitten on something and the tooth snapped. Treatment called for the removal of the root and the immediate placement of a titanium dental implant followed by the placement of an immediate temporary crown. It was all done on the same day. Root removed. Implant placed. Temporary crown placed. Eight weeks later the permanent crown was finished.
Case History - Single Immediate Implant #2
Before
After
On a Sunday afternoon, January 24, 2005 this patient had the upper left incisor snap off as the result of minor trauma. Patient was seen on Sunday afternoon to put a temporary tooth in for cosmetic purposes. On February 8, 2005 patient was seen to have root removed and a titanium dental implant placed. That same day the patient was seen to have a temporary implant crown placed. The permanent crown was finished on April 28, 2005. At no time was this patient without a tooth to fill the space where the natural tooth had fractured.
Case History - Full Arch Implants
Front
Side
We first met this 40 year-old patient on June 19, 2008. When we met him he had no remaining upper teeth, a few lower teeth, a poorly fitting upper denture, and a poorly fitting lower removable partial denture. The patient decided that he wanted upper and lower full arch ceramometal (porcelain fused to metal) bridges.
The first step was to fabricate upper and lower dental implant bridge prototypes so that the special relationship of each of the jaws could be identified. The next step was to place the lower dental implants and then to finish the lower dental implant bridge.
While the lower implant bridge was being fabricated the upper implants were placed. Two months after the upper implants were placed the upper implant bridge was started. The lower implant bridge was completed on September 14, 2009. The upper implant bridge was completed on November 23, 2009. (NOTE: Treatment could have completed sooner if it wasn't for his travel schedule.)
Dentures
Dentures Case History #1
Before
After
We met this 84 year old patient on July 28, 2005. He had neglected his teeth for quite a few years. His daughter made this appointment for him because she wanted her father to get back to good dental health. His upper teeth were too far gone so on September 20, 2005 Dr. Schuetz removed his remaining 12 upper teeth and had an "immediate upper denture" ready for him to put right in. He came into the office that day with his own deteriorated and decayed upper teeth and he left with the "immediate upper denture" so he was never outside this office without teeth. In this case there were enough remaining good teeth to serve as support for a non-removable bridge that replaced that replaced his missing lower teeth and which restored his own lower jaw to health.
Dentures Case History #2
Before
After
We've known this patient for eleven years. Over those years an effort was made to keep the remaining teeth. Ultimately, as you can see from the picture, keeping the teeth any longer was not possible. A decision was made to remove the remaining teeth and to make dentures. Tremendous care is taken during the denture fabrication process so that the dentures will represent the appearance of the patient's natural teeth. In this case the result was stupendous. The patient was ecstatic and so was his wife. He was so happy that he no longer had to worry about decay and toothaches.
